Our Commitment to diversity and Inclusion

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Policy

At the ARK Foundation, we believe every family deserves compassion, dignity, and access to support; regardless of background, identity, ability, or circumstance.

We are committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our leadership, volunteers, and the families we serve.

We welcome individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientation, abilities, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Our goal is to ensure that all voices are heard, valued, and represented in our work to bridge financial gaps for families navigating complex medical journeys.

We strive to reflect the strength and diversity of Montana’s communities in everything we do through equitable decision-making, open dialogue, and continuous learning.

Land Acknowledgement

At the ARK Foundation, we respectfully acknowledge that we live, work, and raise our children on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Salish, Kootenai, Pend d’Oreille, Blackfeet, Crow, Northern Cheyenne, Assiniboine, Gros Ventre, Chippewa, Cree, Sioux, and Little Shell Nations.

We honor the enduring presence, stewardship, and cultural vitality of these Indigenous Nations, past, present, and future. This land has always been Indigenous territory, and we recognize that acknowledging it is only the beginning.

As part of our commitment to families across Montana, we pledge to deepen our relationships with Indigenous communities through ongoing learning, partnership, and accountability. We will:

  • Educate ourselves and others about the histories and contemporary realities of Tribal Nations.

  • Advocate for policies and practices that uphold Indigenous sovereignty and well-being, especially related to Native children and families.

  • Ensure our programs reflect respect for Indigenous knowledge, traditions, and leadership.

This acknowledgement is a living commitment, to listen, to act, and to stand in solidarity with the Tribes who have cared for this land since time immemorial.
