Funding under this category is reserved for families whose child has a chronic, complex, or rare diagnosis expected to affect them for a prolonged period of time. Assistance is available only after all other financial options—including insurance, Medicaid/HMK, hospital financial aid programs, or other community resources—have been fully exhausted.
